Snowman International Opens

Civilian passengers using the predominantly military Bardufoss Airport, some 345 miles (555km) north of the Arctic Circle, can now look forward to landing at Snowman International Airport. The new marketing title for the facility, in the municipality of Målselv in Troms, North Norway, has been adopted to try and attract additional carriers. At present, SAS Scandinavian Airlines offers the only link, with a three-times-daily service to Oslo.
