Dublin Opens T1 Extension

Dublin International Airport has opened a €55 million extension to Terminal 1. Known as T1X, it was designed by Aéroports de Paris Group subsidiary ADPI. The three-story extension has two passenger levels, which are supported on pillars, thus allowing the movement of vehicles beneath. Shops, cafes and restaurants are included and passengers can enjoy an excellent view across the airport aprons. The ground floor level includes a new arrivals hall and baggage reclaim area.
The extension is the latest phase of the Transforming Dublin Airport programme and will considerably improve the passenger experience for those using Piers A and D by adding more space and additional retail and refreshment outlets.
