Tickets From the Post Office

New UAE low-cost carrier flydubai has teamed up with Emirates Post to sell air tickets through post offices across the UAE. Emirates Post has agreed to act as a selling agent, taking reservations, accepting payments and changing booking references either via the phone or in person at 101 of its post offices.
“Our aim is to change the way people travel by making the process simple, convenient and hassle-free. People have different preferences and while some prefer to book via the Internet or call centre, others prefer to do so in person,” said the carrier’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith. “Keeping this in mind, we decided to partner with Emirates Post, allowing us access to their widespread network across the emirate and therefore bringing us closer to the community.”
flydubai started services from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport in early June with flights to Beirut, and this was followed by a link to Amman. Damascus and Alexandria were added as destinations during the month.
