SITA Wins Ukrainian Contract

SITA has been awarded a $9 million contact for airport systems integration for the new $205 million terminal under construction at Kharkov International Airport in the Ukraine.  SITA is to provide its Airport Management Solution (AMS) to New Systems AM, a member of the DCH group and handling agent at the facility.  It is a fully integrated IT system running on a common network infrastructure including check-in, boarding, baggage management, security and access control.  This includes a suite of integrated operations software that supports planning, tracking, real-time and irregular operations, flight displays, aeronautical billing and reporting.
There are two core components, AirportCentral, an airport operations database, and AirportVision, an information display system for airports and airlines that provides real-time flight and related information to all stakeholders and to the public on a variety of display devices within the airport, on web-sites and at off-airport locations.
Kharkov’s new terminal is due to open in April 2010 and will be one of the country’s primary gateways for the Euro 2012 UEFA football tournament which is taking place in the Ukraine that summer.
