Boost For Brussels South Charleroi

RYANAIR IS to base four more aircraft at Brussels South Charleroi and to open six new routes.  The new services will go to Ibiza, Seville, Nadir, Zadora, Kaunas and Krakow.  In addition, flight frequencies for 14 routes will be increased.
David Gering, Commercial Director Aviation and Communications for BSCA said: “BSCA is delighted with such good news for the airport.  This considerable expansion means 75 new jobs for the airport immediately and a minimum of 150 other jobs indirectly.  The Belgian consumer benefits by having more choice.  Two new countries, Croatia and Lithuania, will be added to the range of destinations on offer at the airport.  The airport is busy making arrangements to adapt its infrastructure in order to cater for an extra influx of passengers: another 1,500 new low-cost parking spaces and an additional aircraft parking stand are currently being constructed.  This expansion of both flights and their frequencies, as well as the growth of other companies operating from the airport, will result in a huge increase of passengers in the coming year.”
