March 22: US-based carrier Continental Airlines has outlined its fleet plan for the next two years with details of its proposed Boeing deliveries. The airline expects to receive its first four 787-8s in the third quarter of 2011 with another two in the fourth quarter, together with four 737-900ERs and three 737-800s spread across the year.
Including its regional aircraft, the total fleet will grow by six aircraft by the end of the fiscal year 2010, 25 new aircraft balanced by the withdrawal of its seven Bombardier CRJ200LRs, six Embraer ERJ-145s and six older 737s.
