Air France Serves LHR With A380

AIR FRANCE has started to utilise one of its Airbus A380s on up to four flights per week between Paris/CDG and London/Heathrow this summer.  In order to help train new flight crews and minimise aircraft ground time, the flag carrier will use the ‘SuperJumbo’ on its AF1980/1981 rotation on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 12 to August 30.  An additional Wednesday flight is also scheduled to operate during July.  The aircraft is due to arrive at Heathrow at 10:25 BST and depart at 12:50 BST.
The airport, one of the world’s largest international gateways, will become the first to handle scheduled A380 arrivals from four different airlines – Air France, Emirates Airlines, Qantas and Singapore Airlines.
