Gatwick launches new identity

June 21: GIP, owner of London’s Gatwick Airport, has revealed a new brand identity for the airport heralding the start of a £1 billion transformation plan.
No longer known as ‘London Gatwick’, GIP says it is to “put passengers at the heart of its drive to provide the best possible service” with the £1 billion development plan rolled out over the next two years.
From July, passengers will be able to use the new inter-terminal shuttle, two months ahead of schedule and an extension to the airport’s North Terminal with more self-service facilities and a fast-track security service.
The investment plan will see improvements to almost every part of the airport, including the South Terminal departure lounge, entrance forecourts, immigration hall, baggage systems and the North Terminal Interchange
