Lion Air’s brace on its tenth

July 5: Indonesian airline Lion Air celebrated its tenth anniversary with delivery of two new Boeing 737-900ER (extended range) Next Generation aircraft at Jakarta.
Lion Air operates an all-Boeing fleet and was the launch customer of the 737-900ER. It now has 36 737-900ERs and two 747-400s. The airline plans to carry 20 million passengers this year to destinations within Indonesia as well as to Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.
