Cathay Returns To Haneda

CATHAY PACIFIC Airways will return to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport in October 2010 after a break of more than 30 years.  Subject to the necessary regulatory approvals the move comes after a change in Japanese Government policy allowed international flights into Haneda and the opening of the facility’s fourth runway.  The new twice-daily rotation from Hong Kong will be in addition to its current operations at Narita International Airport.  Currently Cathay Pacific offers 91 passenger flights and eleven freighter services per week between its home base and the five major gateways in Japan: Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo and Tokyo.
