San Jose Terminal B Unveiled

MINETA SAN JOSE International Airport unveiled its new Terminal B on June 30, the cornerstone of a $1.3 billion project to overhaul the airport.
The 12-gate terminal replaces Terminal C, which serves a majority of the airlines at the airport, including Alaska Airlines, Delta and US Airways.  The airport’s only building when it opened in 1965, Terminal C will be demolished later this year.  The new terminal has actually been partially open for about a year.  Terminal B Concourse, which links Terminal B to Terminal A, has six gates that have been operated by by low cost carrier Southwest Airlines since July 2009.
