AFP reports that Air China subsidiary Shenzhen Airlines is to buy ten Airbus A320s in a $814 million (€615 million) deal to boost its capacity in southern China.
Shenzhen already operates 32 A320 family aircraft and will take delivery of the new batch between 2012 and 2013. The buy comes just four months after flag-carrier Air China took a majority shareholding in the airline. Shenzhen Airlines is based in Shenzhen on Hong Kong’s northern border.
