Delta to move at JFK

Delta Air Lines is to move its international operations at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to a brand new terminal, the airline announced after the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey agreed to the development proposal.
In a $1.2 billion (€1 billion) project, a new Terminal 4 will be constructed with completion in 2013 and Delta will move its international operations from the existing Terminal 3, built in 1960 and known affectionately as the ‘old PanAm Worldport’.
In the deal, the Port Authority will supply $900 million in special project bonds with the balance coming from a passenger airport fee and Delta. Work will begin early next year.
