MK Airlines goes bust

October 15: Carter Backer Winter LLP and David Rubin & Partners LLP have been appointed joint liquidators of MK Airlines Limited, a cargo airline company based at Hartfield in East Sussex, UK that ceased flying in April.
MK had a fleet of eight Boeing 747 aircraft and three Boeing 727 aircraft and operated from Filton Airport in Bristol, Lasham in Hampshire, Kemble in Gloucestershire, Manston in Kent and Ostend in Belgium. Nearly 360 employees have already been made redundant.
The liquidators are currently securing the assets and reviewing the position of third party claims to aircraft and spares.
