Georgian Codeshare

AUSTRIAN AIRLINES and Georgian Airways have launched a marketing partnership on flights between Austria and Georgia.  The carriers have entered into a codeshare arrangement on services between Vienna and Tbilisi, which will be operated three times weekly using a Georgian Airways’ Boeing 737 and displaying both the A9 and OS flight codes.  Georgian Airways, established in September 1993 as Airzena, became the flag carrier of the CIS Republic in 1999 and now operates an all Western-built jet fleet of Classic Boeing 737 variants and two Bombardier CRJ100s.  It plans to acquire two Embraer models in summer 2011 to expand its scheduled and charter network.
