Bomb Threat Diverts Airliner

A British passenger airliner has made an emergency landing at Athens International Airport following a bomb threat made to an Egyptian news agency.
News reports say that all 213 people on board the aircraft are unharmed.
The Thomson Airways Boeing 757-200 was en-route from Bristol, UK, to the holiday resort of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt on April 4 when its crew was informed of the threat. The airliner’s crew put out a Mayday call and two Greek air force F-16 fighter aircraft were scrambled to escort the passenger jet to Athens.
After landing the aircraft was evacuated before being taken to a remote area of the airport to be searched.
Nothing suspicious was found and the flight was able to continue on to its destination.
