Agreement Reached on BA strike

British Airways and the Unite union have announced that they have reached an agreement to settle their long-running industrial dispute.
The agreement will now be put to a ballot of the union’s members.
This dispute, which started almost two years ago after BA announced proposed changes to cabin crews’ working practices, was further prolonged by a bitter fight over pay and staff travel allowances.
Unite says BA has agreed to restore travel concessions to staff who went on strike and award a two-year pay deal, subject to productivity changes, that is worth up to 7.5%.
