Air Pacific Cancels Dreamliner

Fiji’s Air Pacific has cancelled its entire order for eight Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, the US manufacturer has confirmed.  The airline had original signed for five B787-9s in April 2006 and taken purchase rights on a further three examples, which it converted into firm orders in December 2007.  The first aircraft had been scheduled for delivery in 2015.  In a joint statement, both parties said they were continuing to work together to find a suitable solution for replacing the carrier’s current wide-bodied fleet of B747 and B767 airliners.
