New Appointees at JFK IAT T4

ON APRIL 5 JFKIAT, LLC, the company that operates Terminal 4 at New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport announced two senior-level promotions to new positions.  Barbara Margulis has been appointed Vice President of Safety and Performance Management, and Stacey Lora has been named Vice President of Security.
JFKIAT is the only privatized, non-airline management company to operate a terminal at a major US international airport.  Terminal 4 is one of New York City’s busiest terminals with nearly 40 international and domestic carriers and annual passenger volume of 9.8 million travellers.
“Barbara Margulis is ideally suited to take our safety programme to the next level.  Leveraging her years of experience in performance management, Barbara is charged with fostering a safety culture in which each employee from senior management to the newest hire is responsible and accountable for preventing injuries and protecting the property,” said Alain Maca, president of JFKIAT, LLC.
“By creating a separate position for security, Stacey Lora can focus her efforts on continuing Terminal 4’s record of achievement as a model for security policies and procedures,” added Mr Maca.  “These new positions reflect our efforts to adapt to the changing demands of our business, and for our vendors, airline and retail partners.”
Ms Margulis has more than 20 years of aviation industry experience.  Since joining JFKIAT in 1998, she has worked in several departments including Operations, Marketing and Concession Management.  The company says: “Her diverse experience is ideally suited as it provides a breadth of know-how required to understand and measure performance at Terminal 4.”
Stacey Lora is responsible for managing all aspects of Terminal 4’s security.  The company says Ms Lora focuses on minimizing security vulnerabilities in the building as relates to the day-to-day business of the terminal and establishes and reports all security-related policy and procedure for Terminal 4.  She ensures that Terminal 4 meets and adheres to local, state and federal mandates, regulations and laws in close cooperation with the Port Authority Police Department, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Customs and Border Protection.
Ms Lora joined JFKIAT in 2005 and has served as Operations Manager for Terminal 4, responsible for managing all building operations.  Prior to joining JFKIAT in 2005, Ms Lora was Security Manager for American Airlines at Terminal 8.  She has 15 years of security and operational experience in the aviation industry.
