New ILA Site

The ILA Berlin Air Show 2012 is set to take place on new exhibition grounds located near the capital’s future airport, Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt.  The new site is west of the airport and adjoins the south runway.
ILA, which will take place from September 11 to 16, 2012, will boast the usual features, including trade fair halls for the aerospace industry, outdoor sites for displaying aircraft, VIP chalets and a control tower.  There will also be facilities for services and catering, a conference centre and a press area.
The new site, open to trade visitors exclusively for the first three days, will be more compact compared to the previous grounds.  Industry representatives will purportedly be easier to target with individual aerospace sections, including Commercial Air Transport, Space Flight and Engines and Materials.
The International Suppliers Centre (ISC), the HeliCentre, the ILA Career Centre and a wide-ranging conference programme will also be present.
Exhibitors who register by January 31, 2012, will be entitled to a 10% discount on the stand rental fee.
ILA 2010 saw 1,153 exhibitors from 47 countries and an attendance of 235,000, of whom 125,000 were trade visitors. Over $16.5 billion was concluded in business deals and contracts at the show.
