Etihad Signs ‘High-Speed’ Commercial Agreement

Etihad Airways has signed a new commercial agreement with French Railways (SNCF), further building the airline’s presence in France.
The deal will allow the carrier’s passengers to book flights beyond Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport by connecting onward to SNCF’s 1,243 mile (2,000km) TGV rail routes, and vice versa.  The air-rail connections comprise 20 cities in France including Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon.
Etihad Airways Chief Commercial Office Peter Baumgartner believes that the new deal illustrates the airline’s “growing commitment” to the region.  He said: “The high-speed rail infrastructure already in place, and the proven credentials of SNCF and Etihad will allow passengers a seamless travel experience.”
