London City Airport Appoints New CFO

London City Airport, UK, welcomed its new Chief Finance Officer Patrick Burrows on June 6, 2011.  Mr Burrows became responsible for all finance, legal and procurement matters.
Mr Burrows previously spent 13 years working at the retailer Tesco PLC, where he held finance director roles in parts of the business such as UK Convenience and Tesco Thailand.  He also spent two years as a procurement director and delivered £45m (US$72m) of savings.
As recent Group Finance Director at New Look, he led the finance streams of the clothing retailer’s 2010 Initial Public Offering Process.
Mr Burrows said of his new role:  “I look forward to contributing to the airport’s development.  After many years in the retail sector, the challenge of working in travel and aviation is a welcome one.  With the [London] Olympics next year, as well as a number of other projects and developments, it is certainly an exciting time to be coming on board.”
