Raytheon ties up Romanian deal

ROMANIAN AIR Traffic Services Administration, ROMATSA, has selected Raytheon UK as the preferred bidder to supply Mode S Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) systems.  The contract will involve Raytheon providing Condor Series 300 systems to the en route radar sites at Henri Coanda (Otopeni), Constanta and Arad International Airports during the 20-month programme.
ROMATSA Operations Director Adrian Remus Serban said:  “In order to meet European Union requirements regarding air safety, quality and security, ROMATSA will install Mode S MSSR systems produced by Raytheon, for the first time on Romanian territory.”
