30th Anniversary Celebrations

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL Airport, USA, is celebrating its 30th anniversary by hosting a Community Day in its main terminal on October 2, 2011.
Local residents, visitors and friends have been invited to attend the festivities between 2pm and 5pm.  They will enjoy live entertainment at multiple venues, receive giveaways from participating airlines and free parking.  Guests will also be able to visit the sixth annual ‘Share the Art’ airport employee art show.
Over the past 30 years, the airport has seen its domestic and international passenger traffic rise from 6 million to 35 million per annum.  Milestones include the simultaneous landing of two Concordes, the opening of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, two extra runways and the completion of the nation’s second tallest control tower.
