Logan Teleflex Wins New Contract

VLADIVOSTOK INTERNATIONAL is the latest Russian airport to select a 100% Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) system from the UK’s Logan Teleflex for a significant airport redevelopment programme to be completed in 2012.
Logan Teleflex will work on domestic and international Departures and Arrivals baggage handling systems, co-located in a single building.
The new terminal is being built as part of a wider reconstruction programme throughout the airport complex and covers multi-level parking, taxiways and new runways.
For departures, 24 check-in positions (eight international and 16 domestic) will feed bags through to security screening lines with L-3 MVT-HR x-ray machines and Level 3 in-line x-ray machines, supplied by Gate Technologies.  The system will have ample redundancy, provided by reversing collector conveyors and an OOG (Out of Gauge) departure line, which also has an in-line x-ray screening machine.
The arrivals systems for both domestic and international passengers will feature Logan Teleflex’s M788 flat carousels to expedite baggage collection.  M788 friction drive carousels will also be used for departures.
