UK airline easyJet has celebrated the flight of its 65 millionth passenger from London Luton Airport.  It also launched a new route to Corfu, the 34th destination from the airport.
Actress Lorraine Chase – famous for her 1970s catchphrase “Luton Airport!” – took part in the celebrations.  easyJet also previewed its new television commercial which will be aired in October.
The airline’s UK Director, Paul Simmons, said he was “really pleased” with the achievement.
The new route to Corfu will operate twice a week from March 31, 2012.  Prices start from £37.99 (US$59) and are on sale now.
