Excellent Results from inter airport Europe 2011

The 18th International Exhibition for airport equipment, technology, design and services ended on Friday October 14 with very positive results being reported. Organisers Mack Brooks said that 606 exhibitors from 34 countries and over 12,600 visitors from all over the world attended the exhibition. It added: “the show covered a net exhibition space of 25,850 square metres which, compared to the previous exhibition in 2009, is a substantial growth in both exhibitor and visitor numbers as well as in exhibition space.
“An increase of 5% in visitor numbers and a growth of more than 10% in exhibitor numbers and floor space compared to 2009 is of course a very positive result. We are particularly delighted to be able to say that there was lively trading activity throughout the halls and the outdoor area of the show, and a large number of exhibitors were able to report positive sales figures,” explained Nicola Hamann, Show Director inter airport Europe. Following a difficult time some two or three years ago, the business climate for airport operators and manufacturers of airport equipment is now recognised as improving again. This is mainly due to an increase in passenger figures, particularly during the current year.
“We are confident that the good mood at this year’s inter airport Europe sends positive signals for the future of the airport sector. Three years after the global economic crisis the airport industry is able to present itself optimistically, and everyone is hoping that it will carry on in this way,” said Nicola Hamann. An initial analysis of the results of the exhibition survey shows that an absolute majority of exhibitors were highly satisfied with the results of inter airport Europe 2011 and most of this year’s exhibitors are already planning their participation at the next inter airport Europe which is set to take place from October 8 – 11, 2013, at the Munich Messe Trade Fair Centre.
The next events for the airport industry organised by Mack Brooks Exhibitions are inter airport China, from September 26 – 28, 2012, at Beijing’s China International Exhibition Centre, and inter airport India, from April 11-12, 2013, at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre in Delhi.
