Airline Chief Steps Down

The CEO of the Air France-KLM Group, Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, has stepped down from his post as part of a reshuffle.  Industry insiders are speculating that current Chairman, Jean-Cyrille Spinetta, might return to the position of CEO.
On Sunday October 16 the French newspaper Le Figaro claimed that Mr Gourgeon was being forced out because of the Group’s disappointing financial results and a ‘difficult’ relationship with Mr Spinetta, who was CEO before becoming head of the Supervisory Board in 2009.
