UK Strike Causes Flight Change

UAE-based Etihad Airways has made several changes to its London-bound flights ahead of the UK-wide 24-hour strike by public sector workers – including Border Agency staff – on Wednesday (November 30).
Three flights have been cancelled to spare passengers the rumoured disruption of 12-hour delays to clear immigration.
The cancelled flights are EY019 from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow, EY020 from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi and EY017 from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow.
Furthermore, at the request of authorities at London Heathrow, flight EY011 from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow will operate on Wednesday with a reduced passenger capacity.
The airline says that passengers booked on these flights are being placed on alternatives.  Flights to Manchester will operate as scheduled.
