Associate Director and Head of Aviation at URS

Inderjit Singh has joined URS Scott Wilson India Private Ltd, the South-Asia office of US-based URS Corporation, as Associate Director and Head of Aviation.  The corporation, headquartered in San Francisco, provides engineering, construction and technical services for public agencies and private sector companies around the world.
Commenting on Mr Singh’s new position, Laddie Irion, Vice President and Director of Air Transportation for URS, explained: “Inderjit has hands-on experience that will be a real asset to URS’ aviation business.  He has a wealth of experience related to the development of airport infrastructure in a variety of locations and socio-economic environments.  This experience will prove to be quite valuable as we expand our business in key geographies.  We are excited that he has joined the firm and we look forward to working with him.”
Prior to his current appointment, Mr Singh was the Senior Vice President (Airports) at the Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.  He has also served with the Airports Authority of India in progressively responsible positions within its departments of planning, overseas engineering consulting, and commercial services.  He was the Airport Director of New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and has been an ICAO Consultant on several occasions.
As an aviation analyst, he regularly contributes research papers in leading aviation trade journals on topical aviation-related matters and is an International Correspondent for Airports International magazine.
