New Routes from Norwich

Flybe and its franchise partner, Loganair, have announced plans to operate three new routes from Norwich International Airport, UK, from March 2012.  The new services – to Exeter and Newquay, and extra flights to Manchester – will create 15 new jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineering staff.  Loganair also plans to base an aircraft at the airport.
Daily Flybe services between Norwich and Exeter will start on March 25 and a summer service to Newquay will operate on Wednesday and Saturdays from May 5 to September 22 next year.
Loganair’s Norwich-based Dornier 328 turboprop aircraft, with 31 seats, will increase Flybe’s current flights to Manchester.  From March 5, there will be three return operations every weekday.
Loganair’s Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan Hinkles, said:  “[The new routes] will save customers from arduous road or rail journeys and we believe will prove hugely popular throughout the year.  Improved air links and creation of new jobs in the city is great news for Norwich.”
