Budapest Airport has announced that airline Jet2.com is launching its third route from the Hungarian capital to the UK. The new twice-weekly flights from Budapest to Leeds, Bradford, are due to begin on March 29, 2012 and will run on Thursdays and Sundays.
The new route is in addition to Jet2.com’s current services from Budapest Airport to Edinburgh and Manchester. Demand from the carrier’s customers prompted the launch of the new route, which will operate throughout the year.
The airport’s CEO, Jost Lammers, said he was delighted with the announcement, adding: “We are confident the route will perform well.”
The new route will be operated by a Boeing 737 with 148 economy seats, for which tickets are on sale now.
