New AAA Chairman

The Australian Airports Association (AAA) has announced the appointment of Stephen Goodwin, General Manager of Operations at Brisbane Airport Corporation, as the new Chairman of the association.
Mr Goodwin is a senior executive with 18 years of senior management experience in a number of key areas, particularly in aviation and airport management.  He has spent the last 14 years in various roles with Brisbane Airport Corporation, with the last nine in his current position.  In 2010, he completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) held at INSEAD in Paris.
With broad experience in aviation safety, security, terminal operations, IT, environment, infrastructure and asset management, as well as project management, Mr Goodwin understands customers, markets and drivers of the business.
His new appointment at the AAA was effective from November 18, 2011, after an election held three days earlier in Brisbane.  Mr Goodwin replaces outgoing Chairman John McArdle of Adelaide Airport who served as chair of the association for the past nine years.
