Qatar Airways has opened its new Premium Lounge for First and Business Class passengers at London’s Heathrow Airport to meet growing demand for its Doha flights, which will increase from four to five a day from March 25.
The lounge, which is located in Terminal 4, is the airline’s first dedicated facility for premium passengers outside of its Doha hub.  The carrier’s CEO Akbar Al Baker opened the lounge in front of more than 50 guests before giving them a tour of the facility.
As well as offering five-star food and a fully stocked bar, private showers are also available, complete with heated floors and luxury branded toiletries.  The lounge has free WiFi, electrical sockets at every seat and there’s a business centre.
Mr Al Akbar told guests:  “London has long been one of our best-performing routes, so Heathrow was an obvious choice for our Premium Lounge outside Doha.”
