Ford Airport Sets Record

Gerald R Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, achieved a new passenger record in 2011 with 2,275,332 customers, a 4.1% increase over 2010.
The 2011 total surpasses the previous record of 2,185,924 passengers, set in 2010.
The airport’s marketing team said that cargo volume is also continuing to climb with a total of 80,706,216lbs (approximately 36,030 tonnes) of air freight handled in 2011.  The figure represents a 1.3% increase on the previous year.
