New Morpho Service Centre

Identification, detection and e-document solutions supplier Morpho, a company within the Safran group, has opened its new Morpho Service Centre in Canberra, Australia.
The centre is a part of a new approach by the company in Australia, which includes a recently signed support agreement with national information-sharing service CrimTrac to provide managed services for the country’s national fingerprint system.
Initially, the facility will be used to support the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS) in Canberra.  Morpho is also providing an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) with 24/7 service capability across the full NAFIS system that includes nationwide workstation support, test systems and training for CrimTrac staff.
Doug Smith, CEO of CrimTrac, and His Excellency, the French Ambassador to Australia, Stéphane Romatet opened the new centre.  His Excellency, the High Commissioner of New Zealand, Martyn Dunne also attended.
Morpho Australasia’s MD Bruno Pattyn, commented: “The implementation of this new service model is a key development for Morpho and shows not only our strength in security, but our commitment to the delivery of low-risk, high-value outcomes for clients.”
The facility will also play a role in Morpho’s approach to delivering services for Australian Customers and Border Protection Service (Smartgate), Australian Federal Police and other agencies.
