Willie McGillivray and Derek Hendry have joined the executive management team at Gatwick airport as Product Development Director and Construction Director respectively.
Since December 2011, Mr McGillivray has been responsible for identifying and developing new products and services that best meet customers’ needs. He joined the airport in 2006 and most recently led the Six Sigma change team. He previously worked at Kimberly-Clark Europe, Coats Vivella and GEC Marine.
Mr Hendry joined Gatwick at the start of this year and has responsibility for delivering the airport’s £1.2bn investment programme.
He previously worked as Group Capital Projects Director at Peel Ports, where he led the development of the Port of Liverpool, Manchester Ship Canal, Medway Ports and Clydeport. Prior to this, Mr Hendry held a position at BAA, Gatwick’s previous owner, where he delivered major projects at Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
