EVA Air will begin serving two additional gateways with its Japanese fictional character Hello Kitty-themed jets on May 23, 2012.  The carrier will use two of its new character-themed Airbus A330-300s on its Taipei Songshan-Tokyo Haneda and Songshan-Shanghai Hongqiao routes.
The airline is also working with Hello Kitty creator Sanrio to ‘makeover’ the liveries of two Airbus A330-200s, increasing its themed fleet to five aircraft.
The first three aircraft were unveiled last year in response to passengers and Hello Kitty fans.  The newly-painted A330-200s will be introduced to EVA’s routes on May 23 and June 22.
