Oxford Names Head of Sales

London Oxford Airport has named Tony Farmer as its new Head of Sales and Route Development.
With 30 years’ experience in commercial aviation, Mr Farmer has worked in sales and marketing for various airlines, including Saudi Airlines in London.  He has also held roles with South African Airways and was the UK Manager for Hellenic Imperial Airways.
Most recently, Mr Farmer was the Sales and Marketing Manager at business jet operator Cello Aviation.
“Tony has excellent credentials and the relevant expertise to help us further develop the airport’s growth, especially as we look to develop more short-haul, scheduled and regular charter business,” commented Managing Director Chris Orphanou.
Mr Farmer will work with Business Development Director James Dillon Godfray to steer the recently-launched Jersey and Isle of Man services, which commenced in early May with Manx2.com.  He will identify and pursue new route opportunities and explore the potential for VIP charter flights, as well as ‘just in time’ freight charters.
