System of Systems

After successful pilot tests, Israeli Airports Authority has placed an order for Morpho Detection’s ‘System of Systems’ to meet hold baggage screening requirements at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport.
The system, which combines XRD and CTX technologies, will be installed as part of phase two of integration with the airport’s new baggage handling project.
Emmanuel Mounier, President and CEO of Morpho Detection International, Inc, the international sales and service division of Morpho Detection, commented:  “By dramatically reducing false alarms and the need for costly, time-intensive manual bag inspections, the System of Systems is another example of Morpho Detection’s commitment to developing the most advanced technologies to help airports around the world increase efficiency while addressing constantly evolving security challenges.”
The System of Systems is the most advanced checked baggage explosives detection system (EDS) available.  It consists of Morpho’s x-ray diffraction-based XRD 3500 EDS, fully integrated with one or more CTX 9000 DSi computed tomography-based EDSs.
The installation will enhance operational efficiencies and streamline operations, while facilitating interactive communications between the system’s components.
