Liverpool Releases ‘myLJLA’

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA), UK, has launched what its mobile commerce developer claims to be the world’s first fully integrated airport smartphone application, ‘myLJLA’.
Designed for multiple Apple and Android devices, the app provides passengers with real time flight and airport facilities information.  However, unlike other airport apps, it allows passengers to pay for car parking, fast track through to the departure lounge, premium lounge access and a growing range of other products and services, through the app’s secure m:Cypher payment system.
Katie Elliott, Head of Marketing at JLA’s owner, Peel Airports, said that the app was:  “part of our strategy to grow our business in partnership with the passengers and the airlines and for us to become a leader in e-commerce.”
The app was developed by airport U, a specialist airport mCommerce development company.
