NAV Portugal and airport operator ADM Mozambique signed a Protocol of Cooperation on June 7 in Maputo, Mozambique, in order to modernise the air traffic control (ATC) systems at the country’s airports.
In addition to technical support in the installation of ATC equipment, NAV Portugal will deliver training courses for air navigation and operational services.
Luís Coimbra, CEO of NAV Portugal, stated that the cooperation would improve safety patterns for Mozambican airports.  ADM’s CEO Manuel Veterano also believes that the signing of the protocol was the “summit of the relationship between the two companies”, adding that the agreement would assist the ongoing development of its airports in response to growing air traffic demands.
