Asiana Airlines Launches OZ First Suite

On July 30, Asiana Airlines introduced two new first and business class seating configurations on a B777-200ER at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, USA, for flights to Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea.
The new seating is called OZ First Suite after the airline’s code, and was launched at O’Hare’s Terminal 5.  The suites are also being introduced for routes to Narita, Japan, and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
The suites feature dedicated sliding doors for each seat, maximising privacy, the first of its kind in Korea.  They also have what the carrier calls the world’s largest high-definition in-flight screen at 32in (81cm); an 82.7in (210cm) fully-flat bed; an LCD seat function control unit in the armrest for seat movement and lighting; a minibar; a personal cabinet; and an upgraded ‘star lighting’ system in the ceiling.
Asiana plans to equip additional aircraft with the OZ First Suite, and increase the number of aircraft with another new seating configuration, OZ Quadra Smartium, by 2013.  (Image:  Asiana)
