Travel Service Airlines will commence twice-weekly passenger services from Prague, Czech Republic, to Miami International Airport (MIA), USA, from November 14, 2012.  It is the first carrier to provide direct flights between the two destinations.
The Czech Republic is now a participant of the US Visa Waiver Program, which allows travel to the US for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa.
New service by Aeroflot to and from Moscow will also be introduced at MIA from October, increasing the airport’s European offering to 15 airlines and 16 destinations.  MIA currently has around 230 weekly non-stop passenger flights to and from Europe, and in 2011, more than 2.9 million of MIA passengers travelled to or from Europe.
