Philippine Airlines Places Major Airbus Order

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has placed a firm order with Airbus for 34 A321ceo, ten A321neo and ten A330-300 aircraft.  The purchase is part of a major fleet modernisation programme and deliveries will start in 2013.
PAL is yet to announce engine selections, but will use the aircraft across its portfolio of services.  PAL Chairman Lucio Tan and PAL President Ramon S Ang commented:  “We will benefit from the low operating costs associated with new generation aircraft and the reduced impact on the environment.”  (Image:  Airbus)
