Aerolíneas Argentinas Joins SkyTeam

Global airline alliance SkyTeam has welcomed Aerolíneas Argentinas as its 18th member.  The carrier is the first from South America to join the alliance and adds 40 destinations to the SkyTeam network.
Skyteam’s Managing Director Michael Wisbrun commented:  “We are pleased to be bringing our Argentinean customers access to a greater worldwide network.  Today also marks a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen our South American network.  Looking forward, we will continue to focus on this continent.”
Joining SkyTeam is part of Aerolíneas Argentinas’ long-term restructuring plan, which includes fleet renewal and network rationalisation, upgrading the entire IT platform, improving product quality and enhancing its frequent flyer programme, Aerolíneas Plus.  (Image:  AA)
