BEUMER Adds Indec… and Achieves Top Safety Accreditation

Global supplier of baggage handling, sortation and materials handling solutions the BEUMER Group has acquired the majority shares of Indec Airport Automation (IAA), headquartered in Bree, Belgium.  IAA develops solutions for simplifying baggage handling processes, with an approach that is “simple yet effective, ergonomic and cost-efficient”.
The acquisition means that BEUMER will offer a more effective solution for baggage handling.  Using semi-automatic loading devices, the approach has healthier working conditions and optimises the capital expenditure and operating expenditure for the entire baggage handling system.
The BEUMER Group has also received accreditation from the SAFEcontractor programme, which recognises high standards of health and safety practice by UK contractors and is awarded for design, installation and customer support.
“Health, safety and the environment are central concepts at the BEUMER Group.  We endeavour to present to our customers that company policies and procedures are the best in the industry and accreditation to SAFEcontractor provides independent verification of this,” explained Ranjit Bhabra, BEUMER Group UK Limited’s Managing Director.
To achieve the accreditation, BEUMER participated in a thorough vetting process which demonstrated health and safety procedures in addition to a track record of safe practice.
