Stable Fiscal Year at Orlando

Orlando International Airport, USA, has released its traffic results for the fiscal year 2012.
International traffic has increased by 10.2% to 3.75 million passengers in the last twelve months, whereas domestic traffic has decreased 1.67% to 31.6 million passengers.  This has resulted in overall traffic remaining stable with only a 0.5% decrease.  Compared to the previous year, the volume of passengers is down by approximately two days.
According to a statement from the airport, “the year was challenged by a number of factors including fluctuating fuel prices, airlines managing seat capacity and an uncertain economy”, combining to produce “volatile” airport passenger counts.
International traffic now accounts for more than 10% of the airport’s passengers.
