Plaza Premium Opens Edmonton Lounge

Plaza Premium Lounge has introduced what it describes as its fourth generation lounge
to all travellers using Edmonton International Airport.
Joining its sister pay-in lounge in the US Transborder Terminal, the latest addition is
located at the Domestic and International Terminal is open to both arriving and departing passengers.
The new pay-in lounge covers 4,200-square feet and has a seating capacity of
approximately 76 passengers.  It is located at level 2, across the stairway of Gate 52.
The company says that like its string of fourth generation lounges opened in Asia, the outpost is designed by Hong Kong-based Kinney Chan who has also designed some of Hong Kong’s most best-known restaurants.
The colour and tone is described as roast brown, gold and amber: “designed to provide a warming and welcoming ambience to travellers seeking a haven away from the crowds.” There is a private room available for those seeking ultimate privacy.
Hot food is offered throughout the day, with breakfast, lunch and dinner served accordingly.  In addition, two daily soups are offered, hot sandwiches and wraps are made-to-order, a salad bar and a dessert corner are two of the many food offerings.
There is a dedicated beverage bar featured offering a selection of coffee drinks, beer and other alcoholic beverages on tap.
The new airport pay-in lounge is open from 05:00 – 01:00 daily.
For those wanting to get some work done before the flight, Wi-Fi, complimentary local call and fax services and computer workstations are available.
The pay-in lounge is priced at CDN$30 + tax for two hours lounge use; and CDN$35
+ tax for three hours.
