The Club at San José Opens

On January 10, Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) and Airport Lounge Development (ALD) opened The Club at SJC, a common-use VIP lounge.
For a $35 day pass, passengers can access all amenities at the lounge, including complimentary snacks and beverages; high-speed WiFi; newspapers, magazines, TVs and flight information displays; a shower facility; business centre with workstations and printers; and a conference room.
“We built The Club at SJC in response to customer demand,” said Director of Aviation Bill Sherry.  “Travellers can enjoy a warm and welcoming environment offering a variety of settings – social spaces for dining or a cocktail, places to attend to business matters, or quiet areas for reading, writing and relaxing.  Impressive works provided by artists of the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, in partnership with the lounge operator, add to the customer experience.”
‘The Club at’ brand of lounges is a relatively new concept and does not require an annual membership.  All SJC passengers, regardless of their class of ticket or carrier, have access to the lounge.  Priority Pass members and some premium class or high-mileage passengers can enjoy the amenities free of charge.
At 7,400sq ft (687.5m2), the lounge has seating for 128 people and provides the local areas with 18 jobs.
